Super Lawyers® included three Frost Brown Todd (FBT) attorneys in its 2023 West Virginia Super Lawyers®  and West Virginia Rising Stars® rankings. Partner Jared Tully was honored as a Super Lawyers® for his work as a business litigator. Rankings include outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas that are selected by independent research, peer nominations and evaluations. In addition, Labor and Employment Partner Katherine Capito and Government Relations Managing Associate William Swann were named to the 2023 edition of West Virginia Rising Stars®, which recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state.

Jared Tully is the vice chair of FBT’s Business Litigation practice group and serves as team leader for the Community Bank and Financial Institutions team. He defends clients facing Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He also counsels clients on front-end compliance to avoid TCPA litigation and has assisted in due diligence regarding TCPA exposure. Tully routinely represents national banks in various types of litigation including consumer and commercial disputes.

Katherine Capito has significant experience handling litigation matters, particularly in the area of labor and employment. She handles all facets of litigation, including providing counsel, arguing and drafting motions, managing discovery and conducting trials. Capito represents clients before state and federal courts, arbitrators, the West Virginia Human Rights Commission, the EEOC, the NLRB, and the DOL. She also frequently handles nationwide wage and hour and FLSA class actions.

William Swann represents a variety of clients in the health care, energy, telecommunications, beverage, and gaming industries before the West Virginia legislature. He helps clients achieve successful outcomes by combining knowledge of the legislative process and relationships with key members of the House and Senate, respectively. When not advocating at the West Virginia legislature, he works as a managing litigation associate with experience handling state procurement and civil defense matters.
